Terry Jardine joined Autograph Sound Recording as a Sound Designer in 1989 and was appointed Group Managing Director in 2000. Today Autograph are a leading British sound design and equipment hire company, responsible for numerous theatre productions at home and abroad, including Les Misérables, Cats, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You, Miss Saigon, My Fair Lady and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Before joining Autograph Terry operated many major musicals including Marilyn, Annie, Evita, La Cage aux Folles, Pirates of Penzance, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Edwin Drood, Bob Fosse’s Dancin’ and Starlight Express. Terry’s sound designs for Autograph include world-wide productions of Les Misérables (Germany, Hong Kong, Spain, Singapore, South Africa, Holland, Australia, Argentina and Brazil), Cats (Zurich, Antwerp and the European tour), the Canadian productions of The Music Man, Man of La Mancha and The Pajama Game, The Card in the UK and Moscow and Candide in Copenhagen. He also designed the sound for the Canadian Opera Company production of Béatrice et Bénédict in Toronto. In the West End he designed The Rocky Horror Show, Always, She Loves Me, Romance Romance, Fame, Voyeurz, Crazy for You, The Pajama Game and Stepping Out - The Musical. He co-designed with Andrew Bruce the UK tours of Les Misérables and Oliver!, including a season at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, and most recently the new RSC musical production of The Secret Garden at the Aldwych Theatre. He recently designed Follies at the Royal Festival Hall and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe for the RSC in Stratford.
