Graham was born in Weston-super-Mare and trained at Kingston University, Surrey. On completion of his studies in Piano and Conducting he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Music and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

Following a successful career in education, Graham left England to become the Assistant Musical Director of the German production of Cats in Hamburg. He subsequently became the Musical Director of Starlight Express in Bochum, Germany and during his time there was involved in the reworking and relaunch of the show in 2002. Graham also conducted the new German Cast C.D. Recording entitled Starlight Express – The New Songs. During the same year Graham was also the Audition and Casting Musical Director for the U.S. Tour of Starlight Express and the U.S. Tour and Las Vegas production of Saturday Night Fever. Graham also conducted the orchestral backing tracks used in both of these U.S. productions.

In 2004 Graham was the original Musical Director for the first ever UK touring production of Starlight Express. Most recently Graham was the Musical Director for Honor Blackman’s one-woman show Wayward Women and he has just finished working as the Associate Musical Director for the new 2006 Starlight Express UK Tour.

Other credits as Musical Director include: A Slice of Saturday Night, Expressions – featuring Irene Alano & friends from the London Company of Miss Saigon (West End Cares) and Starlighters Expressed - A Musical Gala in aid of the 50th Anniversary of UNICEF.
