SIMON BAKER
CO-SOUND DESIGNER

Simon graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1992. For three years he held the post of Sound Supervisor at the Royal National Theatre and in January 1999 he joined Autograph Sound Recording Ltd. His sound design credits, whilst at the Royal National Theatre, include Closer, The Cripple of Inishmaan, King Lear, Othello, Blinded by the Sun, Blue Remembered Hills, Mutabilitié, The Day I Stood Still and Copenhagen. Other work includes The Way You Look Tonight – Druid Theatre, Featuring Loretta - Hampstead Theatre, Gangster No 1 – Almeida Theatre, Closer – Lyric Theatre, The Old Neighbourhood at the Royal Court and Wind in the Willows at the Old Vic. He also designed Copenhagen at the Duchess Theatre, Closer in New York and Roberto Zucco for the RSC at the Barbican. Simon was the Associate Designer on the London production of Rent and The Witches of Eastwick. Most recent projects were The Caretaker for Patrick Marber, Feelgood at the Garrick Theatre, Closer to Heaven at the Arts Theatre and The Play What I Wrote at Wyndham’s Theatre. Simon is the Associate Designer on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and 125th Street and current sound design credits include The Duchess of Malfi at the Royal National Theatre and The Play What I Wrote on Broadway.
